BOOMBOX # 2 - The Blaster of the Universe

3 years after my first attempt i finally got the chance to improve my idea of a gigantic Ghettoblaster. This time I had better materials, more time and way more experience-so check out my new Monster Boombox

 

On top you have the inlet for 2 Turntables, a Mixer and on the far right a place for your laptop...but underneath that platform you have the back-to-the-roots inlet for your records, beers and shots

Beat Up

I found this little wooden suitcase and bought it for 4 euros. it was full of rusty nails and a little rotten so i had to replace the bottom part. i think it came out quite nice and of course you can hook up your ipod...it´s supposed to go on the wall in my little caravan so you can use the lid as a small table...

This is a birthday present for a dear friend of mine. inside is room for a beer can and a pack of cigarettes. the sound is suprisingly good.

Mother of Ghettoblasters

That´s my work for another seminar at my school. The topic was "Volume and Mass". we had one week for the idea, the conception and to finish our piece. it came out pretty massive (which i like) it 2 meters long, 1meter high and 40 centimeters deep. you can hook up your turntables and put them on top of the boombox. OLDSCHOOL!

This is my second version of the ipod-friendly-ghettoblaster. you can hook up 2 ipods so the songs can be blended toghether.BÄM!

BOOMBOX # 1

My first ghettoblaster project. i wanted a to go solution for my ipod that would cost me 200 bucks so i took the old boombox i already had and did some resoldering in the inside. the ipod is cased inside so it don´t get damaged or lost. 

Batman is the shit!

I consider this one my first DIY-Project. The white "whip" is the ipod-cable. the sound is horrible but it sure looks nice :)
